Current Prevention Programs

Proud Fathers (Monroe & Washtenaw County)
We are currently recruiting participants for our Proud Fathers Program. It is a 14 week program that includes topics like The Roots of Fathering, Discipline without Violence, & Playing with Children. Snacks, Transportation, Family Incentives, & Childcare are included.


Proud Parents (Monroe & Washtenaw County)
We are currently recruiting participants for our Proud Parents Program. We discuss topics like Family Leadership, Sharing Power, & Discipline and Teamwork. This is a 10 week program. Snacks, Transportation, Family Incentives, & Childcare are included.



Proud Fathers & Proud Parents Intensive Weekend (Monroe & Washtenaw County)
We are currently recruiting participants for an exciting weekend edition of both parenting programs. We discuss topics like Family Leadership, Sharing of Power, & Discipline and Teamwork. This 3 day program held on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday includes free overnight lodging. Snacks, Transportation, & Childcare are included. Register now for new group starting.

Victory Minds

                                                                        

 

 

 

 

This program is a 14 session group based youth program that works with teens dealing with stress, decision making, and a passion to succeed in their community. Activities include: Designing Media Projects, Positive Social Expression, Food & Snacks included.

Location: Orchard Center High School - Monday and Wednesday 2:30pm - 4:30pm
 

 

 

 

               

                       Media Team

Talented graduates of Victory Minds are working together on various media projects that focus on substance abuse awareness, discussion groups, and coalition building.  These youth will be filming programs that will be viewed by the community.  Food, snacks, and fun is included.

YEP (Youth Enrichment Program) (Monroe County)


This program in collaboration with the 38th Judicial Circuit Court - Family Division is for at-risk youth in Monroe County in need of prevention education services.  The referrals for this program is provided through the probation officer team.  The programming topics addressed in this program is life-skill development, self- esteem, anger management, teamwork, effective communication, and decision making skills.  Each successful participant completes the program with a graduation ceremony held with their family.

CHPR - Community Prevention Services

This program is designed to work with DHS to provide case management services to families in need of community resources to assist them in goal specific tasks.  This program is designed to improve family relationships to encourage positive environment for children ages 0 -18 years.
