Monroe County Celebrates Earth Day 2009 on April 25th at Loranger Square in Monroe from 10 am - 2pm. 

Monroe - Celebrate, Discover, Learn is a unique opportunity for Monroe County families to learn about environmental issues and actions they can take to restore and protect the Earth. Activities planned for the fair are free and include refreshments, prize drawings, educational exhibits and crafts for children. The Earth Day celebration is sponsored by the Monroe County Solid Waste Program and the Sisters Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary with support from the County of Monroe, the City of Monroe, DTE Energy, Neon Goldfish Marketing Solutions, and Walmart. We hope you can join us to celebrate the earth!  Rain location - First Presbyterian Church - 108 Washington St., Monroe, MI

WATCH ME GROW

Be sure to stop by our table to plant flowers to take home with you.  We asking that you grow your plants and submit pictures of them to showcase on our website for Earth Day 2009.  Send a picture of your flower with your name, contact phone number, address, and a brief description of your submission to Projects@elshaddaicc.com
All ages are welcome to participate.
